Garden feelings in June

Our five year anniversary at Beyond Buckthorns came and went. I will show you how our place is looking now, in beautiful and hot June 2021.

The Corn And the Storm

And there are those day you really struggle with nature. On Wednesday it was heavy raining and in addition to the rain the wind blew pretty heavy.

Crop Season Continues

As the crop season continiues, more and more plants get their delicious fruits ready. We started with the gard radish in early June and then came salat, potatoesand carrots.

The Red Currants are Coming In

Finaly the red currants made their way into our home. We have many bushes arround the premises but two of them are really big. It took a lot of time to pick one entire bush. And what do we make out of them? That's coming next!

The Pumpkins are Blooming

Finally my pumpkin plants have started to bloom and make fruit! The cucumbers are also blooming, but not growing cucumbers yet. Thank goodness for the few hot sunny days we had this week!

And Then the Zucchini Came

Lumia planted a lot of Zucchinis. It is sayed that one plant can supply a 4 head family. We got 7 plants. So we get about 1,5 kg of zucchinis every other day. I ususally cut them of the plant when they are somewhere between 10 to 20 cm, but not… more
