The Finnish winter is a time of cold and dark, When frost covers the ground and the air is stark. The trees are bare and the sky is gray, As the wind blows strong and the snowflakes play.
But the Finns are strong and they brave the cold, Wrapping up warm in hats and scarves of gold. They shovel the drive and light the fire, As they huddle close in front of the pyre.
The nights are long, but the days are bright, As the sun shines low on the frozen white. The lakes are frozen and the skaters glide, As the icicles hang and the snowflakes slide.
The Finnish winter may be harsh and wild, But it's a time of joy and a time of pride. It's a time to laugh and a time to cheer, As the Finns embrace the winter with good cheer.
