Courses and events
At Beyond Buckthorns we host different types of courses related to permaculture design and regenerative life. Both Dominik and Lumia are permaculture diploma holders and have done a Permaculture Teacher Training. Dominik is a biogas specialist, and the author of Digital Permaculture. Lumia is into regenerative gardening and social permaculture. You can also ask us to teach at your venue!

Active courses & events
The first Sunday of May is International Permaculture Day. This year, 2026, it is the Sunday, 3rd of May and we invite you to our talkoot for a nice day of working and spending time together!
Come and design with us! On the 6th of June Lumia and Dominik host a Foodforest designCamp at Beyond Buckthorns, our homestead in Pirkanmaa, Finland. Together with our participants we will design a food forest area at Beyond Buckthorns.
On the 25th of June we invite you to a summer Talkoot at Beyond Buckthorns. We have several tasks for the whole day that we'd like to get done while having a nice time with you all.
Depending on the weather we have the following planned:
We're participating in the national Open Gardens Day again this year. Come visit our place and enjoy some refreshments from the garden pop-up cafe.
Parking is on the side of Kuisemantie, arrival to the house yard by car is only for people with limited mobility!
